OPEN HOUSE ENTERTAINS CUSTOMERS AND VISITORS AT SONOMA JET CENTER
SANTA ROSA, Ca., September 25, 2010 —Sonoma Jet Center opened its doors to area pilots, customers, and invited guests for an Open House on Saturday afternoon, September 25th. More than 200 attendees enjoyed an afternoon of food, fun, and aviation at the Sonoma Jet Center facility at the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport. The Open House highlighted the following events:
Static display of more than a dozen restored and homebuilt aircraft
A great collection of more than 15 vintage and antique cars
“What Did She Say? New Controller Phraseology”- a highly attended Wings credit course given by FAAST Team Representative Jim McCord
“How Do Helicopter’s Fly?”- a presentation by Sonoma Helicopter
Very popular helicopter rides for $40 per person by Sonoma Helicopter
Kids activities including face painting, balloon twisting, and a bounce house
Hands-on sheet metal riveting activity
Aircraft parts identification and airplane spotting contests for free fuel prizes
